Span partnered with Michael Murphy to create a new website announcing AMMA, his independent practice and collaborative design and development studio. The goal was to introduce the new firm with clarity and confidence, while sharing the full depth of Michael’s two decades of work.

The site reflects AMMA’s mission and voice. For nearly 20 years, Michael has explored how we shape space and how space shapes us. His work began with research into infectious air and disease transfer in healthcare buildings, moved into memorials and their cultural impact, and now expands toward rethinking how we finance, build, and sustain the world around us. AMMA approaches this as a design problem that architecture has yet to solve, working with governments, institutions, nonprofits, and developers who believe spatial change is both possible and urgent.

The website gathers this narrative into one place, bringing together landmark projects from his time at MASS Design Group and new work under AMMA. The design is intentionally simple, allowing architecture, memorials, planning studies, and public artworks to lead the story. Large imagery, clean structure, and minimal interface elements create a clear and focused experience. The result is a streamlined digital home for AMMA that introduces the studio, frames its mission, and highlights the projects that continue to shape communities around the world.
