SOM Foundation offers five awards to architecture and design students across the United States, Europe, and China, all with the purpose of creating rigorous interdisciplinary research. Span created the visual campaign for the 2022–23 Awards and their theme of Shaping Our World Through Air.

Mist and fog-like abstract forms compose the background for each award, put into motion as if moved by currents of air. Each form is a highly abstracted monogram for either the award itself or the theme of A-I-R.
