Designed while at Thirst

The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) interior signage standards build on the brand standards developed by Studio Blue, Bud Rodecker designed a sustainable system that reduced production costs and allowed for more flexibility as the system developed. The system is designed to be easily produced by the on-campus sign shop, as well as by any outside signage vendor. Each sign uses a square proportion that works within common page dimensions to make the most efficient use of materials. The graphic standards document outlines simple rules for implementing the signage system.
