Designed while at Thirst

The Silverroom Block Party is Chicago’s annual celebration of cultural diversity through expression, music, and art. Thirst's Rick Valicenti and Nick Adam were joined by design intern Aisha McDaniel from Chicago State University in designing the visual identity system. With nearly 40,000 attendees and a one-day economic impact of $2 million the 2019 event was titled THE GREATER GOOD in acknowledgment of community. Built of differently sized circles, the iconic ‘g’ becomes a symbol for the event and the community, graphically representing both sound and a gathering.
